GDPR

Information on processing personal data in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR)

  1. The administrator of your personal data shall be LEX ET LINGUA Justyna Mysłowska, ul. Chopina 3/56, 41-300 Dąbrowa Górnicza. You can contact the administrator by e-mail: myslowska.justyna@gmail.com.

  2. In case of certified translations, you shall be obliged to give your name and surname. I shall process these data in order to make an entry into the repertory of sworn translator’s activities, maintained pursuant to Article 17 of the Act on the Profession of Sworn Translator of 25 November 2004 (consolidated text in Dziennik Ustaw – the Polish Official Journal – of 2019, item 1326), and store them for three years (a period of professional accountability of sworn translator, contemplated in Article 22 of the above-mentioned Act). Upon expiry of this term, the data shall be deleted.

  3. Both in case of certified and non-certified translations, you can give your address or telephone number or e-mail address, which is voluntary but necessary for the purposes of a possible contact with you during the performance of the translation and sending a completed translation or your identification at personal delivery. These data shall be deleted upon completion of the translation. These data shall be processed pursuant to a legitimate interest of the administrator.

  4. Processing your and third parties’ personal data included in the documents submitted for translation is necessary to carry out a translation, although you provide them on a voluntary basis. These data shall be processed for the purpose of carrying out a translation only, and the sworn translator shall be obliged to keep them strictly confidential pursuant to Article 14 section 1 point 2 of the above-mentioned Act. These data shall be stored for three years from the day of delivery of the translation, in the event of any possible complaints or enquiries from judicial bodies. The legal basis of this processing is a legitimate interest of the administrator.

  5. Copies of certified translations may be stored for an indefinite period for the purposes of delivery of a certified copy of the translation upon client’s request.

  6. Should you not provide me with your personal data, I shall not be able to complete the translation service.

  7. If you need to receive an invoice, you shall be obliged to provide data necessary for its issuance pursuant to provisions of tax law imposing such obligation on you. These data will be stored for the period resulting from the above-mentioned provisions (currently this period is 5 years).

  8. Your personal data shall be disclosed to entities rendering services necessary for the completion of contract of translation services, i.e. an accounting office or – in the event of enforcing debt collection – a law firm. The principal’s name and surname contained in the repertory of sworn translator’s activities, before expiry of the 3-year period since they were entered into the repertory, may be disclosed to the governor competent with respect to the place of residence of sworn translator, to the extent necessary to inspect the activity of sworn translator pursuant to Article 20 of the above-mentioned Act.

  9. You shall be entitled to request that the administrator do the following:

    • make your data available to you,

    • provide you with copies of data subject to processing,

    • amend the data subject to processing,

    • delete the data or limit their processing, which the administrator shall be obliged to do only in certain circumstances set forth in the provisions for personal data protection.

  10. At any time you shall be entitled to make an objection to processing your data. However, if I grant this objection, a contract of translation services may not be completed.

  11. Your personal data shall be neither processed automatically nor profiled.

  12. You shall be entitled to file a complaint with a supervisory body in the event of GDPR violation while processing your personal data.
